Winter Feast Days — Divine Appointments of Light, Provision & Covenant Alignment
Festival of Dedication — Hanukkah
Time: 25th of Kislev (Late November to December, depending on the Hebrew calendar)
Also Known As: Hanukkah, Feast of Lights
Biblical & Historical Significance
The Festival of Dedication commemorates the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem after its desecration by the enemy (2 Maccabees 4:36–59, John 10:22). It celebrates the miracle of the oil that burned for eight days despite only one day’s supply — a symbol of Yahweh’s supernatural provision and faithfulness.
This winter festival is not just historical — it is a prophetic pattern for believers today. It demonstrates that even in dark seasons, Yahweh’s presence and power can restore and sustain.
Late Winter / Early Spring Appointed Times
Purim — The Feast of Deliverance
Time: 14th–15th of Adar (Late Winter / Early Spring in the Hebrew calendar)
Also Known As: Feast of Lots
Biblical & Historical Significance
Purim commemorates Yahweh’s miraculous deliverance of the Jewish people from Haman’s plot to destroy them in Persia, as recorded in the Book of Esther (Esther 9:1–32). It is a celebration of Yahweh’s protection, favor, and divine strategy.
Unlike other feasts commanded in the Torah, Purim is celebrated as a historical remembrance of Yahweh’s providence and intervention. It reminds believers that Yahweh is always at work behind the scenes to fulfill His promises.
The Holy Sabbath Day (Shabbat)
Sabbath Day — Entering Yahweh’s Rest
Overview:
The Sabbath is a divine appointment established by Yahweh at creation (Genesis 2:2–3). It is a sacred day set apart for rest, worship, reflection, and covenant alignment. Observing the Sabbath is not just a commandment — it is an opportunity to connect deeply with Yahweh’s presence and receive His supernatural refreshment.
Key Bible Verse About the Sabbath Day
🕊️ Exodus 20:8–11 (KJV)
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work… For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”
Spiritual & Prophetic Significance
Rest from Labor: The Sabbath reminds believers that Yahweh is our source, and our provision flows from His presence, not our effort.
Spiritual Renewal: A time to reset spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Covenant Connection: Honoring the Sabbath positions believers to walk in blessing, favor, and generational impact.
Prophetic Alignment: Regular observance aligns your life with Heaven’s rhythm, opening doors for insight, direction, and revelation.
The New Moon (Rosh Chodesh)
New Moon Observances (Rosh Chodesh)
The New Moon — A Time to Reset and Realign
Each New Moon represents a spiritual reset, a new month and a new cycle in Yahweh’s timing. In biblical days, the New Moon was celebrated with worship, offerings, and prophetic declaration — marking a fresh beginning in the rhythm of life and purpose.
Time: Beginning of each Hebrew month
Significance: Celebrating Yahweh’s new cycle and divine appointments.
Prophetic Meaning: Fresh beginnings, strategy, and prophetic alignment for the month.
The New Moon (Rosh Chodesh) marks the beginning of each new month on the biblical calendar. It is a sacred time of renewal, reflection, and prophetic direction — a moment when Yahweh’s people pause to realign their hearts and plans with Heaven’s timing.
In ancient Israel, the New Moon was observed with worship, offerings, and prophetic declarations (Numbers 10:10; Numbers 28:11–15). It was a time to seek divine strategy for the month ahead and to honor Yahweh as the One who orders time and seasons.
